The story
Gaetano Mondelli is co-author of Quant Overledger: Whitepaper v0.1 (2018) and a named inventor, with Verdian, Paterson and Tasca, on US11842335B2 — the method for chronologically ordering transactions across blockchains, assigned to Quant Network Ltd. Those two documents are the primary trail: the gateway-OS argument, and the ordering claim that makes multi-ledger time mean something.
His public portfolio states the engineering claim in the first person: he invented Overledger, ‘the first protocol for blockchain interoperability,’ which he describes as foundational for chain abstraction and cross-chain tokenisation. Nasdaq, quoted on that site, called it ‘an elegant method to allow cryptos to talk to each other — a common language’ and ‘a Steve Jobsian approach.’ He now writes as a blockchain protocol engineer focused on tokenisation across asset classes, with later work on stochastic-process tokenisation and zero-knowledge architectures. This encyclopedia records inventor and author. It does not invent a current Quant job title, and it does not repeat market-cap claims.
