The story
David Yates is the former CEO and Chairman of UK payment infrastructure Vocalink. He joined Quant’s board in October 2024. After serving as chief executive of Vocalink between 2012 and 2017 he led its transformation from a domestic, bank-owned infrastructure. Several Quant executives (Verdian, Hargreaves) also have Vocalink / Mastercard in their biographies — a people-level connection to UK payments rails, not a claim that Vocalink is a Quant product.
